Gita Wanem in 8th Newa Dharan Run

22 February 2020, Gita Devi Limbu (Wanem) a member of Gurkha Blood took part in Prabhu Bank Dharan 10K 8th Newa Charity Run and secured 3rd position in veteran category completing in 01:10:45 . Tirtha Pun from Baglung took the winner spot in male open completing the distance of 10K in 00:31:25'. This is his 5th defending title. Laxman Malla and Khim Bahadur Khatri became second and third by completing in 00:31:33 and 00:31:35 respectively.

Santoshi Shrestha became the first women to complete in 00:34:23. she was gold medalist in last year 13th SAAG. Ran Maya Pun and Chembi Rai completed in 00:40:34 and 00:42:02 and came in second and third positions respectively. Both men and women received prize money as follows,1st position(Rs.50000) 2nd position(Rs.30000) & 3rd position(Rs.20,000).

Likewise Bandana Budha took 1st, Christina Rai 2nd and Prasansa Ban 3rd in under 16 womens category. In mens category, Kiran Limbu placed 1st, Sion Rai 2nd and Rojan Rai in 3rd position. In veteran male category, Dil Bdr. Shrestha, Dharma Maharjan and Subarna Subba came in 1st, 2nd and 3rd position, respectively. And in female veteran category Chhiring Lamu became 1st, Bhimmaya Rai 2nd and our own GB member Gita Devi Limbu came in 3rd.

And in 3K run for under 12 category (male), Anish Limbu, Sujan Rai and Diwas Rai took 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. Prashna Bhandari, Ishika Tamang and Kusum Rai took 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in female category, respectively. Cash prizes for the winners of under 16, under 12 and veteran received Rs. 7,000 , Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 3,000 respectively.
